Last updated October 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DiscoverVirals ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use discovervirals.com and related features (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information provided by you or MegaBerry
- Account information: your name and email address. If you sign in with an email and password, we store your password in hashed form, never in plain text.
- Information from MegaBerry: when you sign in with MegaBerry, we receive the information you authorize MegaBerry to share, such as your MegaBerry account ID, username, name, email address, profile picture, account status and plan or subscription status. We use the plan status to confirm that your plan includes the Service.
- Telegram: if you link our Telegram bot, we receive your Telegram user ID, username, first name and the messages you send to the bot.
Information created when you use the Service
- Content you favorite, save to collections or download.
- Text you submit to AI features, such as caption requests, and the feedback you give on the results.
- Accounts or links you submit to the Service.
Technical information
- Your IP address, browser and device information (user agent) and timestamps, which we record in security and activity logs.
- Cookies and local storage: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect your account, and your browser's local storage to remember preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate and maintain the Service and your account.
- To confirm that your MegaBerry plan includes the Service.
- To keep the Service secure and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To respond to your requests and provide support.
- To understand how features are used and improve them.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. AI features
When you use AI features such as caption suggestions, the text and instructions you submit are sent to third-party AI model providers so they can generate a response for you. Please do not submit sensitive personal information to these features.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the Service, such as cloud hosting, storage, email delivery and AI model providers, who may use it only to provide their services to us.
- With MegaBerry, to authenticate you and check your plan.
- With an education partner, at your request: if you take a course from one of our education partners and agree there to let it check your work, we share which content you favorite, save to collections or download, and when, so the course can verify your assignments.
- For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of DiscoverVirals, our users or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Publicly available content
The Service includes content and profile details that creators have made publicly available on third-party platforms. If you are a creator and would like your public content or profile removed from the Service, email [email protected] and we will review your request.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We keep security and activity logs for a limited period. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information unless we must keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or provide a copy of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Depending on where you live (for example, California, other US states, the EEA or the UK), you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You can also clear cookies in your browser at any time, although you will need to sign in again.
9. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
We process and store information in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service.
